About the Position:
We are currently seeking an Analyst for the Pipeline Strategy & Analytics team. This analyst will focus on building and maintaining reporting, at scale, in Salesforce Einstein Analytics and other tools for the Pipeline Strategy & Analytics team and our stakeholders. The person in this role will work to ensure the company's global sales pipeline instrumentation scales effectively so that executive management can have visibility to ensure a healthy growth strategy. The role will involve measuring and monitoring sales pipeline performance, defining strategic data instrumentation choices, data visualization designs, and highlighting business strengths and weaknesses in order to accelerate Salesforce ACV/revenue.

The focus of this work will be both on instrumenting tools to diagnose the health of pipeline for sales leaders, regions, segments, and clouds to identify and address gaps or needs. The role requires the intense analytical rigor and attention to detail and owning the numbers which are presented to senior executives on a daily/weekly basis, but also the ability to pull out strategic insights to improve the health of the business.

The successful candidate will be someone who can balance operational with strategic, is not afraid to dive into organizing tough and complex datasets, asking tough questions (as long as they seek the answers), can work independently and facilitate cross-organizational collaboration, has superior analytical and 'big data' skills, can work under pressure, and is comfortable communicating insights in a concise way.

About the Team:
The Pipeline Strategy team is focused on ensuring that Salesforce's sales pipeline remains healthy for the short- and long-term by bringing analytically-rigorous tools and insights and sustained executive attention to the topic. The team presents to the highest levels of the company on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the measurement and monitoring of the company's pipeline health - define the right metrics to track, build the infrastructure and scalability to report on these metrics, and most importantly, analyze the results to find the strategic insights for senior management across the company
  • Own the weekly drumbeat of pipeline reporting, dashboarding and analysis
  • Build models to set pipeline targets and forecast pipeline generation
  • Partner closely with sales and product strategy, as well as other cross-functional teams to develop tools which identify actionable insights based on well-articulated needs/ gaps
  • Assist in the development of global strategy initiatives by structuring complex problems, performing through analysis, developing compelling solutions and presenting recommendations
  • Collaborate with Global Sales Strategy peers to achieve consistent reporting and GTM alignment
Required Skills/Experience:
  • 1-3 years work experience focused on quantitative analysis, Excel and logical reasoning
  • Expert proficiency with MS Excel (you are an Excel wizard), experience building models and exposure to/high degree of comfort with large data sets and supporting tools/languages, e.g., MS Access, Business Objects
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Strong and effective executive presentation and engagement skills
  • Excellent work-stream and time management skills
  • Work experience in consulting, corporate strategy, finance, or sales operations is a plus
  • Prior experience in using Salesforce Einstein Analytics (formerly Wave) dashboards built using JSON is not required, but a plus
