New hire can work anywhere in the USA. Travel is required from 75% to 100%. A Security Technology Architect must be able to understand our client's desired end-state, translate the client's requirements relative to Security Technology Solutions, architect the solution to meet the client's needs, develop the scope of work and estimate the level of effort required for implementation.

The architect owns the technical client contact during detailed design through implementation to address changes in customer requirements and to ensure customer requirements and quality are met. The Security Technology Architect provides content knowledge in leading the consulting sales and delivery efforts (without a direct reporting relationship to that function).

The Security Technology Architect's primary role is customer solution positioning and architecting and delivering IT Security solutions. The architect will act in a leadership role and may direct the activities of several other security technical consultants. Your primary responsibilites will include: 1.

Support Sales of IT Security Solutions -- A competent Security Technology Architect is expected to independently serve as content knowledge expert on HP's Security & Risk Management Solutions with external Corporate and Enterprise Tier 1 customers. This will involve activities like building credibility with clients, proposal preparation, as well as development and delivery of executive and management level customer presentations.
2) Serve as Lead Architect of IT Security Solutions - A competent Security Technology Architect is expected to lead the delivery effort serving as Lead Architect on projects, and should achieve at least 70% customer billable time architecting Security & Risk Management solutions, in addition to their presales activities.
3) Maintain State of the Art Skills in IT Security Solutions - A Security Technology Architect is expected to take responsibility for updating their technical, consultative and business skills, including knowledge related to Security Standards, Regulations, and 'Defense-in-Depth' Technologies.
4) Mentor Technical Consultants -the Security Technology Architect will also have responsibility to mentor other consultants in the solution.
5) Contribute to HP Intellectual Property and Knowledge. An IT Security Technology Architect has responsibility to ensure re-use of current IP during delivery and all engagement developed collateral from pre-sales and delivery is submitted into the HP Technology Services knowledge repository and is leveraging available collateral for efficient delivery.

The Solution Architect may also lead the development of new sales tools and delivery methodology. Qualifications The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following requirements: A minimum of 8 years experience developing comprehensive infrastructure security architectures and designing, integrating and implementing security technologies with a clear value add results and deliverables.

Deep understanding of security fundamentals and ability to assess current vulnerabilities and threats and develop needed security policies, controls, remediation & countermeasures. Past experience architecting comprehensive security technology design plans and project approaches according to established methodologies.

Past expereince developing a complete security risk and incident management program. Experience with leading and performing large scale projects related to vulnerability and penetration testing. Past experience designing, building and integrating security technologies such as Security Event Management, encryption products, data protection or data leakage, GRC tools, identity management, network security (firewalls, VPNs, scanners).

Experience hardening operating systems (examples: NT, W2K, LINUX , UNIX and applications (examples: Oracle, Exchange, Microsoft SQL Servers). Ability to leverage ITIL standards applied to security. Be able to assess compliance of security policies and practices in accordance with regulations such as Sarbanes Oxley, NERC -CIP, PCI, FISMA , GLBA and HIPAA .

Possess a broad understanding of general security technologies, including operating systems, networking, physical security, cryptography, PKI, directory services, IPSec, etc. Developed corporate security standards, policies and procedures, written corporate security policies and implemented security programs.

Experience working with senior management at large multi-national corporations. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to all management levels within customer organization. Ability to identify key decision makers and project supporters. Workshop facilitation with executive level presentations.

Excellent interview and documentation skills. A CISSP or CISM certification is required. Willing to travel up to 100%. A Bachelors degree (BA/BS) is essential with an advanced degree highly desirable. Shift: Day JobDepartment: ServicesCareer Level: Experienced.
