Title: Manager Production - FAST PipelineLocation: CA-SAN FRANCISCOT itle: Fast Pipeline - Manager of ProductionReports to: Director/Sr. Director Production Department: Production Summary: This position actively participates as a member of the Global Production Team, which is responsible for the execution/communication of a global fast production strategy.
Requires achieving financial results, end-to-end supply chain interaction utilizing knowledge and understanding of the product lifecycle. Coordinates activities of a Department, Brand or classification. May supervise an Assistant or Associate Production Manager. 10% PEOPLE RESULTS (Leadership and Employees)* Gives regular formal/informal feedback and recognition through weekly one-on-ones with direct report, quarterly and annual PPA activities.

- Recommends/executes production strategy in partnership with sourcing channels and supervisor.
- Manages the communication of capacity reservations and pre-bookings in partnership with Manager/Assistant.
- Participates in the execution/communication of the department annual/seasonal forecast and hindsight.
- Partners with peers on category CMT comparisons x-Brand/Gender.
- Manages/oversees in-season production in partnership with GIS.
- Confirms order placement with global GIS.
- Partners with sourcing channels and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to the Time & Action calendar.
- Manages the pre-production approval process with GIS partnership.
- Monitors and ensures on-time delivery by troubleshooting issues with staff, sourcing channels and logistics.
- Ensures product integrity by troubleshooting bulk test exception report.
- Attends quarterly store visits and completes Quality Log. Communicates pervasive issues to cross-functional teams and GIS. Makes recommendations for necessary action.
- Manages the PCST & ACT and Confirmed Offers reporting; ensures team accuracy.
- Adheres to the OMT/ calendar with team and cross-functional support regularly to plan and prioritize workload, meet deadlines and increase efficiency.
- Drives adherence to the On Order Work in Status and owns accuracy of outputs from Order Mgmt System with cross-functional partnership.
- Manages the liability process in partnership with Merchandising, GIS and Brand counterparts.
- Executes Product Development (R&D, BOM creation) and communicates timelines to help facilitate business decisions.
- Ensures achievement of COGS targets or provides product options to hit targets. Partners with GIS and Vendors to manage cost negotiations. Drives/oversees seasonal CMT analysis by Brand/Gender.
- Reviews Open to Buy issues identified by merchandising; executes action plan to achieve financial goals.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency in all aspects role.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze and assess business scope seasonally, or as dictated by the business, in order to identify sourcing opportunities. For example fast, chase, duty free, emerging COO's and/or categories.
- Demonstrates ability to think proactively, spot red flags and identify solutions which will meet business goals.
- Demonstrates ability to manage team relationships and communication in order to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet deliverables. This includes accounting for seasonal overlays in the calendar.
- Must have 5 years proven end-to-end product development experience with demonstrated ability to develop product to meet aesthetic and cost goals.
- Experienced in product cost engineering and proven ability to provide desirable cost options during product development.
- Must possess a creative and aesthetically tuned eye and a passion for fashion.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with factories on the development of product.
- Experienced in product pipeline management and the building of calendars to support the pipeline.
- Frequent and unexpected travel may be required so candidates should take this into consideration.
- Must have strong background in knits especially knowledge of embellishment, artwork, fabrics. Woven/denim experience a plus.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate is essential. Candidate will be required to make product decisions independently at times. Confidence and strong point of view are required.
- Must actively shop the competition keeping abreast of current trends/techniques in order to influence sourcing strategy.
- Comfortable & experienced in presenting to upper management.
