We are searching for a Project Manager/Midstream Pipeline Engineer to provide technical support within the Tetra Tech Oil & Gas Group in Houston, TX. Primary activities will be to provide support for oil and gas (primarily in the Marcellus Shale, Haynesville, Eagle Ford, and Fayetteville) projects with public and private clients. Day-to-day activities will be directed by the Houston Office Manager with indirect reporting responsibility to the Pittsburgh Office Marcellus Market Lead Manager. The successful candidate will have essential duties and responsibilities that will include the following: y- Provide support to on-going and new projects related to natural gas pipeline, gas conditioning and compressor station projects. Knowledge of water pipeline design a plus but not necessary. y- Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phase of technical work in a part of a major project or in a total project of complex scope. Must be able to function with little direction to meet project goals. Must be able to take conceptual direction for project tasks and developed detail plans to complete task. y- Prepare project proposals and change orders. y- Successfully complete project in accordance with purchase order requirements and budget. y- Provide direction to project staff personnel to complete project tasks and also mentor junior level technical support personnel. y- Interface with Client Project Managers, government regulators, other contractors and other representatives. y- Participate in technical conference and shows. y- Prepare business development materials for inclusion in proposals and marketing to current or new clients. y- Make business development calls to prospective clients. Requirements: We require a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of related experience. An advanced degree is a plus. Candidates must have experience providing strong technical direction/support for natural gas pipeline and compressor station projects. We are searching for a candidate with detail knowledge of oil and gas industry standards. The ideal candidate will be experienced in preparation of subcontractor procurements for mechanical, electrical, civil, concrete, structural engineering, architectural services, and equipment specifications. Experience in preparation of bidding documents for construction of gas, water and compressor station projects as well as experience at taking natural gas pipeline and compressor station projects from inception (e.g. , proposal preparation) through conceptual design, detail design, construction and to completion (e.g. , system start-up/commissioning) is required. Computer skills must include Word and Excel. Ability to use PowerPoint is strongly desired. Professional Engineering Registration (e.g. , P.E. ) is preferred.
