Our client, a global leader within the engineering, construction, technology, fabrication, environmental and industrial services industries, is currently looking to hire a PIPELINE ENGINEER for their Houston, TX location.

JOB SUMMARY::

Pipeline engineer should be qualified to review the front end engineering design from the Engineer of offshore and sub-sea pipelines which transport gas injection, gas production, water injection and well fluid for an oil/gas field off shore Abu Dhabi.

Should be up to date on proven technology (for example, high tensile steels for high pressure pipelines, pipe coatings, design methodologies, etc.). Should be knowledgeable to review and comment on design of offshore pipeline in areas such as

Codes and Standards used in the Middle East

Design to alleviate internal corrosion and hydrogen induced cracking and embittement

Intelligent pig design

Pipeline hydraulics

Material Selection and Corrosion Study

Pipeline Cathodic Projection Design

Pipeline Wall Thickness Design

Pipeline On-bottom Stability Design

Dynamic and Static span Analysis

Pipeline expansion calculations

Pipeline/Cable Crossing Design

Shore Approach Design

Riser Stress Analysis and Design

Global Buckling Analysis

Pipeline and Riser installation

' REQUIRED SKILLS ''' AND ''' QUALIFICATIONS:'

B.S. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university w/minimum ten (10)years relevant experience in the oil/gas industry, specifically offshore piping experience. Must have been in Consultant's organization for at least three

• years in similar position. Besides extensive expertise in piping layout, design & engineering, familiarity in piping materials application.

Must have performed safety studies and HAZOP studies. Must be fully knowledgeable about codes, standards and recommended practices for this discipline. Experience with Consultant or owner organization in the execution of similar project. Must have experience with offshore platforms.
