Our Pipeline Project Engineer job will offer you an exciting opportunity to help our clients provide a safe and reliable source of energy to heat homes, fuel automobiles, and move good and services in support of millions of people worldwide. Each day you will be part of a team with overall responsibilities for design, planning, staff supervision, project coordination, scheduling, and budgeting to bring projects in on time and within budget. You should be a self-motivated Project Engineer-Pipelines with 5 to 10 years of experience in energy pipeline design and construction. Our Pipeline Project Engineer: * Designs, coordinates and communicates deliverables per Client and Company specifications * Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, monitors progress to maintain schedules and budgets; identifies and documents change scope * Provides documentation associated with project (i.e. control of drawing packages, bid package preparation, planning and scheduling) * Develops technical specifications for materials and construction * Assists in development of Total Install Cost estimates * Interacts with discipline leads to ensure compliance with project objectives * Evaluates materials and construction bids * Manages bid presentation and opening meetings * Provides technical support during construction * Complies with applicable regulations and client guidelines for design, project documentation and records * Works effectively without direct supervision, interfaces with a variety of people and manages completing demands, accepts criticism and constructive feedback while being extremely adaptable and flexible * Possesses excellent verbal communication skills and a good understanding of work related documents CH2M HILL will not sponsor a work visa to fill this position. * Bachelors Degree in either Civil or Mechanical Engineering from accredited college or university is required * Minimum 5 years of experience in oil/gas and pipeline industry in a Project Engineer capacity * Proficient in applicable Canadian industry codes. * Excellent verbal and written communications is required Join CH2M HILL and discover why we have been named by Macleans magazine as one of the Top 100 Employers (2008).
