CDI CORP is seeking to hire an experienced Pipeline Superintendent to support client based in Bridgeville, PA.


Additional details include but are not limited to:


Planning, scheduling, estimating, managing subordinates and management of multiple pipeline construction projects at multiple jobsites.  BS or Associates in Engineering or Construction Management. Ability to manage multiple tasks and capable of rendering good decisions and direction under adverse conditions.


7- years of pipeline/midstream industry experience. Running projects with a team of 20+ employees on the team.  


Position will require travel/over night stays also possible weekends.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pipeline construction projects related to the energy industry.
  • Responsible for managing and leading teams of employees.
  • Supervises daily work of employees. Verifies conformance of finished work product. 
  • Responsible for ensuring all safety and environmental requirements are met.
  • Assures all employees within the team know and follow the company safety and work rules and policies.
  • Ensures that all employees within the department receive the proper training required in order for them to operate the machines they will be working on.
  • Assigns work and monitors job costs and overall performance.
  • Completes written reports of job process, cost and other matters as requested.
  • Responsible for the successful completion of all field activities.
  • Gives on-the-job training to team members to ensure safety and quality of the work being done. Constantly monitors the job site for safety and quality of the work.


Qualifications:

  • Engineering or Construction Management Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of pipeline/midstream industry experience.
  • Promote teamwork, pride, leadership, and sense of ownership within the organization.
  • Team player with strong leadership skills, willing to empower, trust and promote ownership within others.  
  • Computer knowledge applicable to job position.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to network across functions.
  • Demonstrate ability to motivate and direct a highly diverse work force.
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate ability to motivate and coordinate activities within a skilled and diverse work force.
  • Ability to manage multiple task and capable of rendering good decisions and direction under adverse conditions.
  • Experience running projects with a team of 15-30 employees.


BS or Associates in Engineering, or Construction (Management) preferred.
