Pipeline Technician - Pecos, Texas tools ▼ Title: Pipeline Technician - Pecos, TexasLocation: TX-PecosJOB SUMMARYT he Pipeline Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the gathering and jurisdictional pipeline systems. Develops safe work processes and procedures and coordinates maintenance and operations with CM production personal and contract pipeline equipment within the company. The Pipeline Technician ensures that the pipeline system is operated and maintained in compliance with all Company and applicable regulatory requirements as well as ensures that equipment is set up to maximize return on investment capital. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Investigate field safety issues as necessary* Identify and report safety hazards, observe all safety requirements and actively strive to provide a safe work environment for company employees, customers, contractors and the public* Provide leadership and communicate company safety expectations to customers, contractors and the public* Plan and perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities for gas pipelines, dehydration equipment, overpressure protection devices, separation and other related appurtenances* Develop spreadsheets and databases to track and analyze pipeline efficiencies, pigging schedules, DOT compliance issues, O&M costs* Ensure compliance with DOT, OCC, ODEQ , EPA, FERC , One-Call and other regulatory agencies where applicable. Responsible for all DOT/OCC compliance issues* Perform assessments of company facilities to ensure compliance with industry and company O&M procedures and practices* Oversee ongoing Inspection and Maintenance program within a defined geographical region or area* Maintain strict surveillance and enforcement of security, safety and environmental rules and procedures at company facilities* Coordinate contract personnel. Coordinate new well connect activity* Communicate and coordinate maintenance projects on all pipelines and related facilities with production foremen and with field superintendents* Review, maintain and modify pipeline drawings, maps, plats, etc* Assist with special projects, job scope preparation and perform other related duties as assigned* Other related duties as assigned* All duties are to be performed in accordance with Chesapeake's Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS , & ABILITIESM inimum Requirements:* Knowledgeable in the requirements of DOT, OCC, FERC , EPA, ODEQ One-Call and other applicable regulatory agencies* Must be a leader who is bright and technically sound* Must be a visionary and 'hands-on', capable of interacting effectively at every level within the business* Must be a team player as well as a goal-oriented individual who functions with the highest level of integrity and professionalism* Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person* Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts* Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications* Any associate who drives a company or personal vehicle for Company business must possess a valid driver licenses and follow all guidelines that are outlined in the Company's Fleet Policy. EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCEM inimum Requirements:* Associates degree or equivalent work experience* Strong track record in facilities engineering and operations* 5 years of field operations experience* 3-5 years in natural gas gatheringPreferred:* Production and/or construction experience.
