Principal Pipeline Engineer (Offshore), Al Khobar

Our Client has been awarded a long term contract to provide project management, engineering, procurement and construction services for offshore oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia. The work is focused on the strategy to maintain production potential and generally includes fabrication and installation of small-unmanned platforms, pipelines & cables (in water depths up to 170 feet), hook-up and commissioning of facilities, SCADA installation and facility upgrades.

The project requires a Principal Pipeline Engineer with 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry within the Offshore Subsea Pipeline Industry. Design experience in mandatory. Gulf experience is preferable. Requirements:

The suitable incumbent will become the Principal Pipeline Engineer on the project related to offshore pipelines and Subsea systems and will provide guidance and technical advice to the Pipeline Engineering team.

Specific Accountabilities:

• Pipeline route selection, to optimize costs of new pipelines.
• Pipeline sizing and design to meet performance criteria.
• Cost estimating for pipelines and facilities.
• Up to date knowledge and experience with the offshore oil and gas industry with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Pipeline construction experience. Essential Skills/Experience:

You will possess a degree or relevant qualification with minimum of 15 years' experience in conceptual studies, FEED , detailed design and construction management, 8-10 years of which has been in the oil and gas industry within the offshore Subsea pipeline industry. To be successful in this role, you must have substantial experience in overseeing specific offshore design tasks requiring a hands-on focus on subsea pipelines.
