The Senior/Principal Manager will be responsible for providing systems, analytical and strategicsupport both internally to P and to stakeholders across the Roche organizationResponsibilities- Provide portfolio analytics and insights for decision making and portfolio reports for key stakeholders (''' ESPC ''', ''' LSPC ''', LT, CEC, IR, teams, etc. )- Support portfolio prioritization, goal setting, Life Cycle Strategic Plan (''' LCSP '''), F Rounds (quarterly forecast updates) and Business Planning processes- Support development of integrative molecule, pathway and disease area strategies- Represent the function in corporate wide initiatives- Assist executive management with budget and resource planning, helping to ensure decisions are aligned with portfolio priorities- Provide problem framing and gap analyses to enable management to make informed and timely decisions, including corporate goal setting and portfolio optimization- Create slides/presentations and reports to update stakeholders on the state of the portfolio and to provide material for internal 'town hall' updatesJob Skills and Expectations- A strong understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech landscape, R&D trends, business strategy and markets in major disease areas- Demonstrated success in working with biotech or Pharma management and teams in Research, Development and Commercial functions- The ability to build cross-functional partnerships and influence without authority- Strong analytic skills and complex problem solving ability- The ability to draw conclusions from analytics, articulate the key findings to management and teams- Ability to lead and facilitate cross functional teamsRequirements- Advanced degree in science, engineering, business or a related field; ideally with a degree in the life sciences- At least 4 years experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals or a related field. Experience in strategic planning and analytics is strongly desirable.
