Quality Manager/ RGQA pipelineFull/Part Time Full-timeLocation Mobile to any US Mfg Site Description This is a pipeline position. It will take several years and a few assignments to prepare. The intention will be for the person to atain the following position.

STATEMENT OF FUNCTION::* Guarantee the quality of delivered products through the quality activity and relevant manufacturing processes.

Lead the plant in manufacturing a quality product, minimizing waste.

• Supply new product models and put into place the processes and methods permitting their fabrication with respect to the objectives for quality, cost and time.
• Guarantee the efficiency and the continuity of the quality system.
• Represents the customer in quality and progress, and is the management representative for quality.
• Has authority to stop production and delivery of non-conforming products in order to correct quality problems.

POST DUTIES::

• Develop the key operating indicators for monitoring all process parameters and product characteristics. Direct intervention, hands-on, with operators and managers as required to achieve desired levels of quality.
• Ensure implementation for reporting under the Michelin Quality System.
• Assure the administration, analysis, and implementation of relevant central quality rules.
• Assure the facilitation of local quality planning and industrialization.
• Manage the department charged with the definition of the quality methods (process control, statistics, measure, verification)
• Manage the department in charge of guarantee of the quality of raw material, delivered products, and process conformity.
• Evaluate the efficiency of the quality system and initiate corrective action as necessary.
• Manage the records of corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage the quality indicators.
• Validate the process for training operators on key posts having a direct influence on the quality of products.
• Contribute to the development of succession plans for the department and ensure they exist for the other quality employees.
• Manage the department in charge of the definition of the quality assurance methods and quality guarantee.
• Directly responsible for the different guarantee functions.
• Responsible for quality budgeting, costs and audit results.
• Mentor all employees as appropriate.

KNOWLEDGE / CREDENTIALS::M aster of Science Degree or higher in a related Technical Field (i.e. ,Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry)5 years Manufacturing experience in the Quality area. Demonstrated leadership experience, especially working in matrix organization structures. Michelin is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
