Lead Process Engineer (Upstream and Offshore)BS (preferably MS) degree in Chemical Engineering with 10 years ofexperience as Process Engineer and 10 years of experience as LeadProcess Engineer with concentration in upstream and offshore projects -total of at least 20 years of experience. The experience to include:- Preparation of Process Design Basis, Process Flow Diagrams, P&ID iagrams, mass and energy balances, equipments sizing and rating, HAZOP and other safety studies for oil and gas production systems offshore onplatform topsides or on floating structures. - Optimization of field development plans, offshore oil/gas/watertreatment facilities, process troubleshooting, production planning,process control and safety systems. - Experience with conceptual studies, front end engineering design anddetailed engineering design (EPC) on green field and brown fieldprojects. - Highly proficient in performing process simulation, both steady stateand dynamic, using HYSYS and other specialty software; in performinghydraulics using PIPESIM and familiarity with pipeline transientanalysis using software such Gregg Engineering's OLGA . - Performing calculations and preparing process data sheets for alltypes of process equipment and systems. - Supervision of Process Engineering groups for medium-to-largeconceptual studies, FEED and EPC projects. - Co-ordination with other disciplines, process licensers, clients andnational and international equipment suppliers. - Preparation of material requisition, technical specification and bidevaluation and vendor documents. - Familiar with all relevant codes and standards and RecommendedPractices for the process/mechanical design of the offshore oil, gas andwater facilities. - Proficiency in design of utility and support systems for offshore oiland gas production facilities. Key Activities:- Interfaces with Project Management and other engineering disciplines- HAZOP / HAZID studies and SAFE chart preparation. - Good grasp of topside production systems and support services cost andimplementation schedule. - Analyzing plant operations and process upsets and suggesting remedialmeasures. - Training junior Process Engineers.
